From my experience with clients, this proves to be a puzzle sometimes. However it is not so difficult, it is all a matter of correct format of the settings. So here I will post the easiest way you could set up E-mail, FTP clients and other applications. Let's start with Outlook 2003:

Start with:

Tools -> E-mail Accounts -> Add a new e-mail account -> POP3 ->

Then you reach the "Internet E-mail Settings (POP3)" window:

User Information:
Your Name: John Doe
E-mail Address: example@yourdomainname.com

Server Information:
Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.yourdomainname.com (or IP)
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.yourdomainname.com (or IP)

Logon Information:
Username: example@yourdomainname.com
Password: example***

Once you have filled the information above, you would want to navigate to "More Settings", to go through a few necessary settings:

More Settings -> Outgoing Server -> My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication (marked/checked)

More Settings -> Advanced -> Outgoing server (SMTP) - 25 (Change port to 587 if port 25 is blocked by your Internet provider)

FTP Settings:

Most FTP clients require only the following information and format:

Host: yourdomainname.com (or IP)
Username: example@yourdomainname.com
Password: example***

That's it for now. Usually the information above would suffice to set up most E-mail and FTP clients. I will continue to update this topic with info on how to set up more specific programs and applications.
