Hello HC Forums members, friends and accidental visitors ;)

I'm glad to announce that thanks to our partner Comodo CA Ltd (Thank you James), Host Color now offers all business website owners a killer opportunity - to get Green Bar Extended Validation SSL certificate by paying only $39/year!

What to do to qualify?

1. Go to https://accounts.hostcolor.com/cart.php?gid=7 and purchase "Essential SSL" at $39/year.

2. Once Comodo issues an "Essential SSL", you can request a FREE upgrade to Green Bar EV SSL.

3. This will save you $320/year (the difference between Host Color's standard price of Extended Validation SSL and  "Essential SSL").

4. You will be issued a Comodo Green Bar EV SSL if you are eligible to get one. Requirements are below.

Take advantage of the EV SSL Promotion!

The Extended Validation SSL is the highest assurance digital certificate in Internet. Its Green Bar reassures website visitors that they are doing business with a trusted, legitimate company.  EV SSL gives you:

  • Green address bar
  • Highest assurance certificate
  • 2048-bit, next generation SSL
  • $250,000 warranty
  • 99.3% of browser ubiquity
  • Priority phone support
  • Free Comodo TrustLogo

How Free EV SSL upgrade works?

When you complete a purchase of an "Essential SSL" certificate you will be given an opportunity for a Free update to Extended Validation Green Bar (EV) SSL. The only thing you (or Host Color on behalf you) should do is to request an upgrade. It is Free!

Be advised that you can sign up for 2 years "Essential SSL" certificate and to get 2 years of Extended Validation SSL. If you for any reason didn't get approval for the Green Bar EV SSL will not loose the "Essential SSL" certificate and can continue using that one.

Go Get Essential SSL Now!

Requirements to get EV SSL?

EV Certificate is issued to a Private Organization that satisfies the following requirements:

1. The Private Organization MUST be a legally recognized entity whose existence was created by a filing with (or an act of) the Incorporating or Registration Agency in its Jurisdiction of Incorporation or Registration (e.g., by issuance of a certificate of incorporation) or is an entity that is chartered by a state or federal regulatory agency (To make it simple, you MUST have a registered company)

2. The Private Organization MUST NOT be designated on the records of the Incorporating or Registration Agency by labels such as “inactive,” “invalid,” “not current,” or the equivalent (Your company must be fully operational, active business!)

3. The Private organization MUST have a verifiable physical existence and business presence

4. The Private Organization MUST NOT be listed on any government denial list or prohibited list (e.g., trade embargo) under the laws of the CA’s jurisdiction.

It looks complicated, but it is actually simple and we believe it will not be hard for you to qualify!
